
ENGINE REBUILDS AT STR8SIX

Our standard Speed Six rebuild involves:
Full engine strip down, with all parts thoroughly cleaned and inspected.
Cylinder head decoked and checked for valve seat deterioration and valve guide wear.
If found to be worn the guides are replaced and the valve seats machined to suit three angles. The cylinder liners are checked for signs of rotation and ovality and then ball hone finished. The crankshaft is crack tested, checked for size and polished.

The AJP V8 Challenge engine can be made more reliable for its race application with various modifications and upgrades, or we can modify a road V8 for a race application. The Speed Six can be built in various race guises, from fast road to 24hr GT spec depending on budget and application.

Consumables
All STR8 SIX oil gallery modifications are then carried out to the cylinder head and block. The engine is then put back together using stainless steel bolts to the engine casings and setup to the latest specifications.
