Thought I’d write a few words on the excellent service I’ve just received from Jason and the guys at Str8Six.

After a year of ownership, the Cerb was due a “big” service (i.e. including tappet adjustment) and having been up to see Jason and discuss over the ‘phone and via email exactly what I was getting for my money (that and the fact he offered local collection and delivery) they seemed as good an option as any.

After a couple of days I got the dreaded “we’ve found a few things” call, so I popped in for a chat and went through the list and discussed which (if any) were important, which I felt I could do myself, and a few no-brainers that I wanted them to do. Again, they followed this through via email and priced out each option.

The car was delivered back after its post service road test, and certainly based on the two things they have corrected (wheel alignment/camber and some seriously bad opening dimensions on the tappets) it’s a different car.

What I’m rambling towards here is the fact that as a TVR owner of 7 years, having used several people to look after my cars, this is the first time I’ve felt compelled to let people know what a top service I’ve had.

What I was most grateful for was the obvious knowledge and passion Jason has towards TVR’s, along with his patience when dealing with me ! I’ll certainly be heading back there in a year.

I'll jump on the band wagon as well then.
My car’s with Jason at the moment getting a 4ltr rebuild, some chassis treatment, new brakes and suspension, and I have to agree with all the comments on here. With Jason you never once think he is fishing for work. His manner on both the phone and in person is second to none. His obvious knowledge, enthusiasm and passion for TVR's is clear after speaking to him for only a few minutes.

I think the best compliment to him is that I've sent my car over 260 miles to be worked on by STR8SIX, when there were lots of other TVR specialists a lot closer. I only wish I lived closer as a 520 mile round trip for a service is a little extreme.

Went to see my car at Str8 6 yesterday. it has had a body off, outrigger replacement, and replacing of all metalwork that was corroded, and heatshield. I have to say the work done to the car is impressive, chassis is as new, and now waiting for the 12k service to complete the job. Thumbs up for Jason so far, and i’m sure when i get my car back from the service it will be as fresh as day one!

I also have to agree that Jason and the guys at str8six do a good job.

I got Jason to inspect my Griff before I purchased it and as it was also due for its 12k service to do that as well. He went through the whole car with a fine tooth comb came up with a list of things that needed to be done.

I got the car delivered straight to him after purchasing it and he showed me the things that needed fixing like the wishbone bushes and the like.

Picked up the car when it was done and as I'm new to TVR's he ran through everything with me.

Very happy person

He has a customers lovely supercharged Sag there at the moment, very nice!
